We are pleased to invite you to the first

Düsseldorf-Jülich Symposium on Neurodegenerative Diseases:

"Meeting the challenges of Alzheimer's Disease: from basic science to clinical translation"

Venue: Haus der Universität in Düsseldorf,Germany

Date: October 29/30, 2015

The Symposium will serve as a forum for interdisciplinary perspectives on Alzheimer's pathology, with a focus on translational aspects between fundamental research and clinical application.

The two-day meeting will bring together leading experts from a wide spectrum of fields. All speakers will give thorough general introductions into their respective field before presenting their own latest research. This format was chosen in light of the high degree of specialization within Alzheimer's research to create a basis for cross-disciplinary discussion. It furthermore provides an opportunity for early career researchers to learn about the state of knowledge in a broad spectrum of Alzheimer's related fields from renowned international scientists.

Key Topics include: Abeta and tau biochemistry, genetics, pathology, inflammation, animal models, imaging, diagnostics and therapy. For further information you can find the program here.

We hope you will join us in North Rhine-Westphalia's beautiful capital for two days of lively discussions, innovative ideas, collaboration and networking.

The organizing committee:
