The symposium at a glance
Talks: Internationally renowned experts will present 15 talks over the course of three days. All speakers present their respective topics in an easily comprehensible way before presenting their complex research results in detail. This format intends to stimulate interdisciplinary discussions and especially enable early career researchers to obtain detailed information on the current state of Alzheimer's research and related areas.
Key Topics: Biophysics of aggregation, structural biology, protein homeostasis, biomarkers, as well as common mechanisms of neurodegeneration.
Poster Session: A poster session takes place on day 1. We welcome abstract submissions on Alzheimer`s topics as well as other neurodegenerative diseases.
Talks by early career scientists: From the poster abstracts submitted, five will be selected and their authors invited to give a 20-minute lecture in the main programme in addition to their poster presentation.
Public Science Lecture: At 18:15 on 05th of October 2021 ,Prof. Dr. Klaus Gerwert, Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany , will give a lecture on:
„Alzheimer Früherkennung mit der iRIS Technologie – Hoffnung auf ein symptomfreies Altern“, in German.
