SuFIDA (surfaced-based fluorescence immuno digital assay): The answer for low-abundant analytes that were previously not accessible to quantitative analysis using conventional methods.
n medical diagnostics and biotechnological applications, immunoassays such as the so-called ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbance assay) have been state-of-the-art for more than four decades. As they are always ensemble measurements with only one measurement value per sample, ELISA methods are limited in several aspects, especially regarding the dynamic measurement range and sensitivity. This conventional analog method can be replaced by the digital SuFIDA technology. Due to its single molecule sensitivity, the SuFIDA technology has a digital readout that is linearly dependent on the analyte concentration over at least four orders of magnitude and is therefore superior to any ELISA.
